drone 3D mapping
The fastest way to gain valuable data and models for almost any industry
What is mapping?
A 3D map is created by using a technique called photogrammetry. Simply put, photogrammetry is making measurements and models from photos. Usually this technique is used by many industries including construction, architecture and agriculture but can be applied to almost any industry. Drones can now create a map or 3D model using photogrammetry in the fastest and safest way possible and are now the go to technology for this.
What we do
We use a drone and specialist mapping software to plan a route for the drone to fly and take many photos at certain intervals which are then stitched together to create a 2D or 3D model of anything from buildings in a town to a small field. We can then show measurements, create fly through videos or even show crop and plant health.
Why use a drone instead of traditional methods?
As with all of our services, we can produce amazing results in a fraction of the cost and time compared to traditional methods. For example, it can take only minutes for a drone operator to collect all the data needed for a complete 3D model/map of a small field. Drones for mapping are now being used across industries such as construction, architecture, agriculture and archaeology.
Types of aerial surveys
Not only do we offer drone mapping, we also offer condition surveys for other industries and areas. We can perform surveys for wind turbines, solar panels/solar farms, commercial and residential building roofs and agriculture.
